New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) veteran batsman Virat Kohli has created a new history in IPL 2025. On Thursday, he scored a special record in the innings of 22 runs in the match against Delhi Capitals. In this innings, Kohli hit two sixes and a four, causing the total number of boundary of his IPL career to 1000. He has become the first and only player of the tournament to do such feat. Kohli started the IPL in 2008 and since then he has fielded only for RCB. He has so far hit 721 fours and 279 sixes in 248 matches. In this way, he has completed 1000 boundaries. They have now reached the top in the case of boundary. Shikhar Dhawan is second in this list, who has so far set a total of 920 boundaries in the IPL. However, Dhawan is ahead of Virat in terms of fours. He has hit more fours than Virat, but the number of sixes is less.
Apart from Virat and Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, David Warner and Chris Gayle are also included in the list of players who have installed the highest boundary in the IPL. David Warner (899 boundary) is at number three. Rohit Sharma has so far set a total of 885 boundaries with 603 fours and 282 sixes. They are fourth in this list. At number five is Chris Gayle, who is named 761 boundary.
Virat Kohli is not only on top in the boundary terms, but has also become the highest run -scorer in the tournament. He has scored 8190 runs so far, including 8 centuries and 57 half -centuries.
