Drashti Dhami is back with another relatable post on motherhood that will make you go ROFL. In her latest Instagram addition, she reshared a clip originally posted by a nutritionist, who is also a mother. It featured a comparison between how a mom wants to dress and what it turns out to be as a text overlay the video reads, “How you think you’re going to dress as a mom.” What follows is a bunch of pictures featuring modern-day moms in their stylish, head-turning outfits.
The hillarious video soon cuts to showcase the reality of being a mother. It includes a slideshow of a woman in comfy PJs, oversized Tees, sweatshirts and joggers. Drashti also added a GIF which says, “True dat,” implying she falls in the second category.
FYI, Drashti Dhami the knot with businessman Neeraj Khemka in 2015. Nearly a decade after their marriage, the couple announced pregnancy last year. Drashti, keeping fans engaged, documented her pregnancy journey on Instagram, constantly sharing updates with her loved ones. She gave birth to her daughter Leela, on October 22, 2024. Sharing the happy news, the couple uploaded a collaborative post, writing, “She is here. 22.10.2024!”
In her first interaction after embracing motherhood, Drashti told Hindustan Times that it is tough to leave her baby even for a few minutes. Talking about her motherhood journey, Drashti shared, “I’m loving being a mum. I feel, no amount of preparation can prepare you for motherhood. Everyone has their own experiences. I’m very hands on with everything. I enjoy spending time with her the morning and when she goes to sleep. She’s started reacting too.”
Last seen in the OTT show Duranga 2, Drashti Dhami insisted she was not taking any pressure to get back into shape or stressing over getting back to work.
On the work front, Drashti Dhami forayed into the television industry with the Star One show Dil Mill Gaye in 2007. She won hearts with her role in Geet–Hui Sabse Parayi opposite Gurmeet Chaudhary in 2010. Her performance in Madhubala–Ek Ishq Ek Junoon alongside Vivian Dsena and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka with Aditi Sharma and Shakti Arora further cemented her position as a versatile actress.
