Obnews Tech Desk: Madhur Bajaj, a non-executive director of Indian automobile industry giant Bajaj Auto Limited, died on Friday morning. He had been struggling with health problems for a long time and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai a few days ago. Two days ago he had a stroke, after which his condition became critical. He died at around 5 am on Friday morning.
Expressing deep grief over his death, India International Model United Nations (IIMUN) said – “We are very sad with the death of our beloved advisor – Mr. Madhur Bajaj – a person whose humility, intelligence and calm leadership left an indelible mark on all those who knew him. As a member of our advisory boards, he guided young leaders with objectives and intelligence.”
In January 2024, Madhur Bajaj resigned as Vice President of Bajaj Auto due to health reasons. However, he was still serving as Director in Bajaj Finserv Limited, Bajaj Electricals Limited and Bajaj Group several other companies.

Madhur Bajaj was born on 19 August 1952. He got his early education from the prestigious Doon School in Dehradun, then did B.Com in 1973 from Cydenham College, Mumbai. In 1979, he earned an MBA degree from IMD, Loden (Switzerland). He was awarded the 'Vikas Ratan' award by the International Friendship Society of India. He was also SIAM, former president of McCia and an active member of the National Council of CII.
